Rapid Demolition of 3rd Line Overpass

Another weekend shutdown over Canada’s busiest highway. The demolition of 3rd Line overpass in Bainsville, Ontario was carried out over two nights in April 2018. Another project completed on schedule.

Booth Street Complex Redevelopment

Our team completed demolition of a 130,000 square foot building (after select locations within where the finishes were stripped back to base to facilitate precise severances), demolition of underground tunnels, and capping the remainder at the property line. This project also included the excavation & disposal of 20,000 MT of contaminated soil, offsite treatment & disposal of 500,000 L of contaminated water and installation of new storm, water & sanitary services.

HWY 417 Bridge Demolitions

Ottawa, ON

Our team completed this critical infrastructure, multi-year project requiring the phased demolition of five (5) overpasses spanning HWY 417 in Ottawa. The bridges were removed sequentially over a two-year period to facilitate replacement construction while maintaining continuous highway operations. Each bridge was demolished during tightly controlled overnight or weekend shutdowns to minimize disruption and ensure that the highway could be reopened to full traffic capacity within 72 hours of closure.

Finance & Health Protection Building

Ottawa, ON

Requiring a high level of planning and communication with many stakeholders, we completed pre-demolition asbestos abatement, followed by the full structural demolition of a Government-owned, 2-storey building (above-grade), Sub-Basement, tunnel and foundations. Once the building was demolished, and required site removals/works were completed, our crew then restored the site, installing backfill, topsoil and sod.

Coniston and Stinson Generating Stations

Greater Sudbury, ON

This project included the selective and structural demolition of two (2) century-old power generation stations including existing powerhouse structures, intake components, and supporting infrastructure. Both sites, located along the Wanapitei River east of Sudbury, required precision demolition planning and execution within active, environmentally sensitive hydro corridors.

1495 Heron Road - Demolition

Ottawa, ON

In preparation of redevelopment of the site (by others), our team completed the demolition of twelve (12) one- and 2-storey, interconnected steel/concrete buildings c/w associated tunnels and elevated walkways within 73,000sq m complex (surrounded by schools, a public park and residential housing), followed by the restoration of brick facades where intrusive investigations occurred, site clearing and preparation for redevelopment.
